For the first time, the Carabanchel district joins the muestra-t program within the framework of MADO Madrid Orgullo 2025, with one of the most groundbreaking and vindicative proposals of the year: a guided art tour through some of the most vibrant contemporary art galleries in the city.
On Tuesday, July 1, from 5 to 7 p.m., cultural manager Gerard Zamora will lead this walk through spaces that, through art, question norms, celebrate diversity and open up new imaginaries: Tönnheim Gallery, VETA, Sabrina Amrani, Planta 1, La Oficina, Belmonte and Marquesa. With techniques ranging from video art to painting, from installation to drawing, the exhibited works cross physical and symbolic borders, with artists from Chile, Portugal, Sweden, Germany and Spain.
From the ambiguous and provocative pieces by Rafa Silvares in VETA, to the reflection on body and identity by Bárbara Fonte in La Oficina, to the sensorial experience proposed by Timo Nasseri in Sabrina Amrani, this tour offers a plural look at art as a form of resistance. We will also be able to visit the emotional paintings of Claudia Alonso-Allende, the bodies blurred by memory; and the works of Sofia Bjurström, which invite us to stop time through memory and movement.
Meeting point: Tönnheim Gallery (C/ Alejandro Sánchez, 94).
This tour is part of muestra-t, the cultural festival of MADO Madrid Orgullo, a program that celebrates diversity through art, thought and collective creation.
