The Delegation of the Exhibition Area of the New Filmmakers Platform (PNR) presents a new edition of its LGTBIQ+ Short Film Showcase, an event already consolidated within the independent and committed film circuit. This special session brings together a selection of works directed by members of the PNR, which address the realities, affections and struggles of the LGTBIQ+ collective from multiple perspectives.

The following short films will be screened:

  • No te vayas (Miguel Muñoz Gascón)
Maika reflects on destiny and the possibility of new opportunities, exploring love and science fiction from an LGTBIQ+ perspective.

  • Calcetines(Miguel Ángel Olivares, Ana Beyron, Alejandra Beyron)
In the 1990s, Rafa and Álvaro live their love in secret in a rural setting. An oversight unleashes fear and exposes long-hidden family secrets.

  • Total, un drama(Daniel Cuenca)
In the middle of a party, Xavi and Ceci take refuge in the bathroom and between confidences reveal personal dramas in a space of complicity and unburdening.

  • Los chicos del mar (José Antonio Valera)
Sergio, Lorenzo and Sebas live their sexuality freely. The disappearance of one of them triggers a desperate search and puts their bonds to the test.

  • A mí nadie me dice (Philip Rogan)
Directed by Philip Rogan and written by Pablo Valera, this short film starring Raquel Bustos and Pablo Valera explores the tensions between individual identity and social expectations. Through an intimate narrative, the work addresses the internal conflict of those who seek to define their own path in the face of external impositions.

The exhibition not only stands out for its artistic quality, but also for its commitment to accessibility: all the short films will be subtitled in Spanish, thus guaranteeing an inclusive experience for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.

The event will be presented by Wendy Torres and coordinated by José Luis Mora of the PNR Board of Directors.

After the screening, there will be a space for discussion and networking in the bar of the DAMA Autor headquarters, accompanied by a free catering for all attendees. An opportunity to share impressions, generate synergies and celebrate cinema as a tool for social transformation.

This sample is part of muestra-t, the cultural agenda of MADO Madrid Orgullo, a space that celebrates diversity through art and culture.
