On June 24 at 8:00 pm, the Cine Estudio del Círculo de Bellas Artes will host the Madrid premiere of Azul de Niño, the directorial debut of screenwriter and actor Raúl Guardans, who also co-stars in this personal, fresh and provocative dramatic comedy.
With autobiographical overtones and Almodovarian spirit, Azul de Niño tells the story of Natalia, a woman whose life changes radically when she discovers her husband’s infidelity… with a young sex worker. Ready to confront him, the plan is interrupted by an unexpected tragedy. In the corridors of the ICU, two people destined for conflict are forced to live together in uncertainty and pain, in a story full of humanity, humor and contradiction.
Starring Eva de Luis, Tony Corvillo, Raúl Guardans, Meritxell Huertas and Kathy Sey, the film has garnered good reviews at international festivals such as the Outshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival (USA), Perth Queer Film Festival (Australia) and the LGBT Film Festival Poland, where it was screened in seven different cities.
With distribution by ConUnPack, support from media such as Shangay and Nuebo, and production by Sonder Films, Azul de Niño is presented as a brave bet for new voices in contemporary queer cinema.
