The Cervantes & Cía bookshop hosts the presentation of Sodoma, the book by Julio Rojas published by Ediciones Antígona. Previously premiered at the Autumn Festival and at the Cuarta Pared room, the play proposes a contemporary look at the biblical story of Sodom to reflect on identity, sexuality, modesty, memory and the narratives that have marked the LGTBIQ+ collective.
Through a confessional story, Sodom claims the importance of telling one’s own stories in the face of discourses that seek to impose uniformity, becoming an invitation to celebrate pride, memory and resistance.
The presentation will be attended by Julio Rojas, author of the book; the journalist and prologue writer Tom C. Avendaño; the theater director Aarón Lobato; and Conchita Piña, editor of Ediciones Antígona.
This activity is part of the programme of Muestra•t, the cultural festival of MADO Madrid Pride, which celebrates its 20th edition this year.
