The La Pluma association, in collaboration with different social and cultural entities, brings Parla a new edition of Queer Cinema for Palestine, the international festival that uses cinema as a tool to make visible the experiences of Palestinian LGTBIQA+ people and promote spaces for dialogue on human rights, diversity and social justice.
The activity will include the screening of two short films that address different realities of the LGTBIQA+ community in Palestine, offering the public the opportunity to approach stories and perspectives that are usually not present in conventional audiovisual circuits.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Murad Odeh, a queer-Palestinian journalist and activist, who will share his experience and reflect with the audience on diversity, activism and human rights in the Palestinian context.
Admission will be free until full capacity is reached.
This proposal is in addition to the programme of Pride in Community, a network of activities promoted by municipalities, associations and groups to celebrate diversity, promote equality and build spaces for coexistence, respect and inclusion throughout the Community of Madrid.
