Rebirth is possible is the first documentary that captures the transformative experience of the Orlander Retreat, narrating an intimate story of pain, truth and rebirth.
The film tells the life of a gay man who, after years of silences, breakups, anxiety and a deep emotional disconnection, finds in the Orlander Retreat a safe space where he can look at himself, heal and rebuild. A journey inward, accompanied by a community that shows that we are not alone and that it is always possible to start again.
This work not only speaks of open wounds, but also of accompaniment, courage and hope. Because to be reborn is not to forget the pain, but to learn to walk again, knowing that there are nets that sustain.
The screening will take place on Friday June 27th at 19:30h at Sala Equis (Calle del Duque de Alba, 4 – Metro Tirso de Molina, Madrid). The ticket has a symbolic price of 12€, which includes a drink, and 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the NGO Apoyo Positivo, committed to the health and rights of LGTBIQ+ people. In addition, those who wish to collaborate without attending can do so through the Fila 0 available on the official website.
