The Sub25 returns in its sixth edition as the festival where the new voices of young culture take control. An artistic and participatory meeting that floods Madrid Río with dance, performance, visual art, circus, music, urban art, participation and much more to give visibility to emerging talent. Once again, we move away from the great masses to strengthen a diverse creative community, open to dialogue and collaboration, inviting all people to be active protagonists of cultural exchange.

The appointment will be on Saturday, June 27 (from the afternoon until the early hours of Sunday 28) at the Multipurpose Esplanade, the Nave de Terneras and the surroundings of Madrid Río. An essential event in the heart of Arganzuela to discover what beats in the minds of the creators of today and tomorrow. Like all the activities of 21 DISTRICTS, admission is free and one more year, the U25 has the collaboration of MADO Madrid Orgullo.

🩰 Dance Stage
The Multipurpose Esplanade becomes the epicentre of movement with contemporary and urban dance pieces by the most stimulating creators of the moment. Enjoy a collective dance session with Klau DJ Set; the contemporary dance of EMPTY ROOMS (ACT III), Carla San Martín ( Hacia el polvo), Myriam González ( TÁNGUELA) and Llume Cía ( NORMAL PEOPLE); the hybrid proposal of Etéreocuriosas (LÎLA, we dance so as not to cry); the duets of Maite Felipe and Martín Barriuso (We have to talk) together with Miguel Jiménez and Alexandre Carrión (THE); and the scenic and festive freshness of Colectivo D’elas (Velaiquich, amoorch!) and Colectivo Chipén with their contemporary verbena XULA, GUAPA Y CHISPERA.

🤖 La Nave
La Nave de Terneras is transformed into a laboratory where the most disruptive talent redefines the frontiers of technological and audiovisual creation. Digital art becomes tangible through interactive experiences and screens of Mapping ON ( Real Time Canva and Visual Live Set); the installations and sensory performances of Moira Muñoz (Before disappearing… and Excited States…); Valver’s interactive environments ( Eco Diafónico Visual), Ignacio Navas (KICKFLIP) and the 3D proposal by Eva Iszoro (Expecting Forward); in addition to the real-time audiovisual set by Emmanuel González (VOID) and the fusion of dance and popular tradition by Sara Herrera Camacho (Spanish Sayings in Motion).

🎶 Immersive
music The stage of La Nave will dance to the rhythm of PatataOnStereo and its particular hybrid between vinyl and digital in a progressive set designed for both the dance floor and sound enjoyment. Nearby, classical music and youth meet on an exciting journey to the piano with AntonashPiano, a prodigious artist of only 11 years old.

🖼️ Photography
exhibition La Nave hosts the exhibition Remembering Oblivion, by Max Naranjo, a photographic exhibition that invites us to take an introspective journey through the camera’s viewfinder. An intimate exploration of the mechanisms of a mind that destroys, recomposes and treasures experiences in equal parts.

✨ The Paseo
The Side Walk of the Greenhouse becomes the great free and participatory territory of La Sub25. A journey open to play and cultural exchange where theatre coexists with the irony of Las MYNYMYNY (Colectivo MIAÜ) and Pizza Margherita (La Sussi), the intimate poetry of Fragments of a Voice of One’s Own (Alma Dinamita) and the recital on the body 21 grams (Irene Díaz Lázaro and Mateo López-Yarto). The participation continues with the festive format of PowerPoint Party, the sound caravan of the C.O.S.A. (Chico Trópico), the textile recycling of Caravana: sustainable sewing (Planet Dots), the observation of the sky with Starry Night, the sound experimentation of Chaos Lab (La Cresta) and our Murals of Expression, walls without judgments designed for writing, drawing, complaining or dreaming.

🖍️ Zona Gráfica
The Prospe Not Death collective lands with a complete artistic experience that connects sculpture and volume with urban art. Take part in our 3D figure painting workshop during the day, and as night falls, step into an immersive environment of luminescent painting and Light Painting in action, where your neon light strokes will be captured in real-time under UV light.

🌈 Get
ready to give a unique touch to your festival look and fully enter the atmosphere of La Sub25. Stop by our aesthetic space and dare to try incredible nail designs, braids and creative hairstyles, mega glow makeup, henna tattoos or unique floating patterns on your skin with the body marbling technique. In addition, you can create a collective work with recycled clothes in the Re-recreating activity.
