The exhibition Woman against Woman, by Nazareth Dos Santos, brings together a selection of illustrated works that portray the relationships between women from an intimate and close perspective. Through scenes where affection, sensuality and complicity occupy a central place, the artist builds a visual universe that focuses on emotions and affective bonds.
The protagonists of these works appear as active subjects of their own stories, moving away from traditional representations that have reduced women to a passive role within visual narratives. Although the images contain an erotic dimension, the exhibition avoids the usual hypersexualization and proposes a more authentic look at Sapphic relationships and the diversity of experiences that make them up.
This exhibition is part of the programme of Muestra•t, the cultural festival of MADO Madrid Orgullo, which celebrates its 20th edition by bringing proposals that promote visibility and diversity through art and culture to the public.
