For this reason Muestra t, the cultural festival of Madrid Orgullo, is organizing together with Microsoft, one of its main sponsors, the I Jornadas Muestra t in AI, which aims to present an overview of the development and possibilities offered by this technology. This conference will consist of three proposals that explore the role it can play in the development and enhancement of diversity.
This series of activities organized in collaboration with Microsoft highlights how AI transforms cultural creation by amplifying the voices of diversity and facilitating access to artistic tools. Expanding creative possibilities and opening new doors for artists outside the traditional circuits are part of the content of the conference.
The first of these is the exhibition The Power of Age by artist Ana Suárez who, supported by AI developments enriched with her own personal techniques, presents portraits that question and challenge established norms about gender, age and identity, the artist creates a vibrant and meaningful visual universe with a deeply feminist and inclusive approach.
The exhibition will be held in two venues: Hotel Catalonia (Gran Vía 9, Madrid) and NOMAD (Calle Gran Vía, 78), both of which will host the exhibition, which will remain open from May 20 to June 9, 2025.
The second pillar of this I Muestra-t in AI is the workshop on generative AI given by Álvaro de la Herrán at Escuela Lens (P.º de la Esperanza, 5, Arganzuela, Madrid) on May 30.
De la Herrán, advertising and fiction film director, creative producer with more than 20 years of experience, will propose ways and formulas in which to integrate AI in the different creative processes of the audiovisual and will show how to use different generative AI tools for the creation of presentations, script support and even realistic and adaptive voiceovers.
The proposal that completes the triduum of these I Muestra t in AI is the screening of several short films made with this technology that will also take place on May 30 in Lens school, at the end of the workshop.
The short films “Organic Waste” by Javier de la Chica, a story about human arrogance set in the future; “Full Stop” by Víctor Bonafonte, a reflection on dehumanization; “Genevieve” by Álvaro de la Herrán, which analyzes the difficulties of integration into society; and “The Theater” by Seif Abdalla, a story that addresses the necessary differentiation between fantasy and reality.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the participation of the director and audiovisual narrator Álvaro de la Herrán as moderator; Ana Suárez, artist of the exhibition The Power of Age; Javier de la Chica, filmmaker; Víctor Bonafonte, also a film director and Asier Crespo, Legal Director of Microsoft Ibérica, a lawyer specializing in technology law, intellectual property and privacy, recognized for his defense of the ethical application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the corporate environment.
Muestra t is the Madrid Orgullo Cultural Festival (MADO) whose Organizing Committee is formed by AEGAL, COGAM and FELGTB. Its main institutional sponsor is the Madrid City Council and it also has the institutional sponsorship of the Community of Madrid.
